CMP Standard 12 - Crisis Management, 01-242

APPLICABILITY

Community Medicaid Providers (CMPs)

POLICY

In order to ensure the provision of quality services for individuals facing a behavioral health crisis, this policy sets forth the key performance indicators for CMPs regarding Crisis Management.

GUIDELINES

Individualized crisis plans are developed for any individual enrolled in services. The CMP will have telephonic 24/7/365 crisis intervention capacity for those individuals enrolled in ACT/IFI services and will utilize face to face intervention when deemed necessary.

The CMP accepts referrals from Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) and allocates appointment slots for crisis appointments (urgent, emergent) to GCAL; this enables GCAL to schedule appointments with the CMP within the individual's need and time parameters.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

 TOTAL WEIGHT: 11%
KPI INDIVIDUAL KPI WEIGHT (IN POINTS)   DATA SOURCE

1. Provider demonstrates a recidivism rate of no more than 30%. Recidivism is defined as measuring flow between out-patient to inpatient services.

Instructions of how to measure: The denominator is the number of people enrolled in CORE outpatient services for the reporting period. This should be an unduplicated count. The numerator is two or more encounters in inpatient or crisis facility. Note: Providers are not required to enter data for this KPI; DBHDD will populate this field for providers based on data from the Beacon reporting system.
